Separation

Hate, you can taste it the air is rank with it.

People shove me in their attempt

To get to their destination.

The swell breaks upon the hall of judgment.

They bring the accused from the depths of the palace

The lashes snake down his back and wind around his

Legs in grotesque patterns

Here is your king!

The crowd rises up as one,

Crucify him!

Blood shot eyes glitter with rage

My hands raise with the crowd

Yes! Beat him, bruise him, kill him!

Then the man is forced up and a

Splintering cross is shoved against his back.

As the crowd leaves the courtyard, water drips from the hands of the

Governor and into the blood on the ground.

The crowd lines up as a gauntlet.

He is laid on the cross, arms thrown on the boards.

A hammer is shoved into my hands

I put a nail into the flesh of his hand

I raise the hammer and

Swing

The nail pierces through skin and bone.

I turn to look at him and my eyes find his watching me

Tears gather in his eyes

My Child, I love you even now, I am doing this for

You

As these words pierce my soul

I drop the hammer and flee into the crowd

The cross is raised up into place

As the blood flows down from the nails

I hammered into his hands

He cries out

Father forgive them for they know not what they do!

The curtain ripping signals the end of separation.

Hey guys....

This is a blog in which I will be posting poems, thoughts, and from time to time book/movie reviews. I hope this is a place where God can be glorified through my writings.
